Itinerary

WELCOME TO WILD KATHMANDU

Kathmandu is an incredible, vibrant, and wild city that we’ve fallen in love with. That’s why we’re always so excited to welcome you on the first day and share the gateway to the Himalayas with you.
On arrival day, you’ll be met by an LHO representative at the airport and driven to our centrally located hotel by private transfer. Navigating Kathmandu airport can be an adventure in and of itself, so you’ll receive a text with detailed instructions on how to efficiently make your way to us.
Your LHO Team Leader will be waiting to greet you at our hotel, check you in, and ensure you have everything you need for our adventure. If you arrive early, there are plenty of incredible places to visit around us. Your LHO Team Leader will send you a detailed list of restaurants, coffee shops, heritage sites, and markets to visit closer to your trip start date so you can make the most of your time.
Our first official event of the trip is a team dinner at 7:30 pm, hosted by your LHO Team Leader and local lead guide. This will be your first opportunity to meet everyone, ask any questions you have, hear all about the amazing week ahead of us, and enjoy a great meal. The first round of drinks is on us! Although it’s tempting not to be tempted by the nearby nightlife, we recommend an early rest to recover from your travels. We’ll have plenty of time throughout the week to enjoy the nightlife as well.

BOOTCAMP BY THE RIVER & RAFTING TO BANDIPUR

The day begins with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, fueling us for an exciting day ahead. After breakfast, we’ll depart for a scenic two and a half hour drive to the Trishuli River. Upon arrival, we’ll warm up with a Bootcamp Session on the riverbank, where the sounds of rushing water will energize us for the workout. This bodyweight session will activate your muscles and get you adventure-ready.
After our bootcamp, we’ll gear up for an exhilarating white-water rafting experience, navigating the rapids of the Trishuli River as a team. The thrill of the river, combined with stunning natural surroundings, makes for an unforgettable morning.
Post-rafting, we’ll drive to the charming hilltop town of Bandipur. Once a thriving trading post along the India-Tibet trade route, Bandipur is now a beautifully preserved heritage town. Its cobblestone streets, traditional Newari architecture, and stunning hilltop views transport you to a time when life moved at a gentler pace. Bandipur exudes serenity, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day of adventure.
We’ll check into The Old Inn, a historic boutique hotel that immerses you in Bandipur’s timeless charm. Dinner will be served at the inn, featuring delicious Nepali dishes, as we settle in for a peaceful night in this heritage town.

POKHARA BY BIKE

Waking up in the picturesque town of Bandipur, we’ll start the day with breakfast at The Old Inn. The crisp mountain air and stunning views provide the perfect backdrop to energize us for the adventure ahead. After breakfast, we’ll drive three and a half hours to the bike trailhead, where our on-and-off-road biking adventure begins.
The 25 km bike ride to Pokhara is as challenging as it is rewarding. We’ll pass through lush landscapes, rolling hills, and vibrant villages as we make our way to Nepal’s vibrant lakeside city. Pokhara, a favorite destination for travelers from around the world, is a lively hub filled with cafes, yoga studios, and adventure outfitters. Known as the gateway to the Annapurna region, Pokhara boasts breathtaking views of the Himalayan range, including peaks like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machapuchare (Fishtail Mountain).
By midday, we’ll arrive in Pokhara, where we’ll enjoy a well-earned lunch at a local restaurant overlooking Phewa Lake. After lunch, we’ll check into our lakeside accommodation and enjoy some downtime to relax or explore the area. Dinner will be a lakeside affair, where we’ll savor Nepali flavors and reflect on the day’s journey.

TRAIL RUN INTO THE HIMALAYAS

After breakfast at our lakeside accommodation, we’ll drive to Siayuli Bazaar, the trailhead for today’s run. The route to Ghandruk is a classic Himalayan trek, winding through terraced fields, dense forests, and small mountain villages.
Ghandruk, one of Nepal’s best-preserved heritage towns, is famous for its traditional Gurung culture and stunning mountain views. From its vantage point, you’ll see the peaks of Machapuchare (Fishtail Mountain) and Annapurna South rising dramatically into the sky. The combination of ancient stone paths, slate-roofed houses, and breathtaking landscapes makes Ghandruk feel like a step back in time.
Lunch will be a mid-run break, offering a chance to refuel and soak in the beauty of the Himalayas. We’ll arrive in Ghandruk in the late afternoon, where we’ll settle into our cozy lodge and enjoy a delicious homemade dinner. Before the evening ends, we’ll take part in a 30-minute Animal Flow Mobility session to stretch and recover, ensuring we’re ready for the adventures ahead.

TRAIL RUN TO JINHU HOT SPRINGS

We’ll start the day with breakfast at our lodge in Ghandruk, fueling up for another trail run adventure. Today’s trail is part of the famous Annapurna Base Camp trek and offers a stunning variety of landscapes. We’ll begin with a climb to Chomrong, where you’ll be rewarded with sweeping views of the Annapurna range. The path transitions from open ridgelines and hilltops to lush valleys filled with rhododendron forests and vibrant riverside trails.
The contrast between the exposed mountain passes and the shady, serene river valleys adds to the beauty of the journey. Along the way, we’ll pause for lunch, a well-deserved reward for our morning effort.
The descent to Jinhu Hot Springs is a highlight of the day, as the promise of warm, soothing waters keeps us moving. On arrival, we’ll take time to relax and recover, soaking in the natural thermal pools surrounded by lush greenery. Dinner tonight is a cozy affair near the hot springs, where we’ll enjoy hearty dishes and share stories from the trail.

HIIT, SUSPENSION BRIDGES, & DANCING THE NIGHT AWAY

The day begins with a HIIT session, a high-intensity workout designed to push your limits and target your core, legs, back, arms, and glutes. After two days of trail running, this full-body session will challenge you in the best way possible. After the workout, we’ll gather for breakfast at our lodge before starting the day’s adventure.
We’ll cross Nepal’s second-longest suspension bridge, taking in the breathtaking views of the river valley below, before meeting our 4×4 vehicles for the journey to the adventure park. The adrenaline continues with ziplining and bungee jumping, offering heart-pounding thrills in the midst of stunning scenery.
Lunch will be served at the adventure park, giving us time to relax and recharge after the excitement. Returning to Pokhara in the evening, we’ll celebrate our last night in the city with a Nepali folklore dance class. Led by Nelly and a local choreographer, you’ll learn traditional Nepali movements and perform a group choreography, ending the night with laughter, celebration, and connection. Dinner will follow, marking the perfect end to an extraordinary day.

WELLNESS & RECOVERY IN KATHMANDU

The day begins with breakfast at our Pokhara accommodation before we catch a morning flight back to Kathmandu. Once we arrive, we’ll start with a 30-minute Animal Flow Mobility session, a gentle yet effective way to stretch and relax after an intense week of activity.
Lunch today is a tranquil affair, setting the stage for the ultimate recovery experience. We’ll spend the afternoon at Avata Spa, indulging in massages, therapeutic treatments, and sauna sessions to rejuvenate our bodies and minds.
Dinner tonight is yours to enjoy at your leisure. Whether you explore the flavors of Kathmandu’s culinary scene or opt for a quiet evening at the hotel, this is your time to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve shared.

FAREWELL TO NEPAL

Our final morning begins with breakfast at the hotel, giving you a chance to savor one last Nepali meal. Afterward, we’ll transfer you to the airport for your flight home. As we say goodbye, take with you the memories of breathtaking landscapes, incredible challenges, and the camaraderie of an unforgettable team.
This isn’t just the end of a trip—it’s the start of a stronger, more empowered you.
