What happens during the eight days?
The trip starts and finishes in Kathmandu. There are two main trekking days and a short walk out on day five; the rest of the programme combines transfers, activities and time in the towns along the route.
| Day | Plan | Overnight |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel and meet the team for the welcome dinner. | Kathmandu hotel |
| 2 | Raft on the Trishuli River and travel to Bandipur, with yoga and meditation in the programme. | Bandipur hotel |
| 3 | Travel to Kimchi and trek to Ghandruk in the Annapurna foothills. | Ghandruk tea house |
| 4 | Trek from Ghandruk to Jhinu Danda and visit the riverside hot springs. | Jhinu Danda tea house |
| 5 | Walk out to the road and transfer to Pokhara for a massage and Lake Phewa boat ride. The World Peace Pagoda walk is optional. | Pokhara hotel |
| 6 | Enjoy tandem paragliding and zip-lining near Pokhara, with yoga and free time. Activities depend on conditions. | Pokhara hotel |
| 7 | Fly to Kathmandu, with free time or optional sightseeing before the farewell dinner. | Kathmandu hotel |
| 8 | Have breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport for departure. | Departure |
Activity times and the order of the programme can change because of weather, provider availability or safety. The itinerary does not include a separate contingency day.
Do I need trekking or activity experience?
No previous experience is required. Local guides and instructors introduce the activities and the equipment you will use. A moderate level of fitness helps with walking for several hours, stairs and uneven trails. The published trek distances are 4 km on day three, 6.1 km on day four and 1 km on day five; the itinerary lists a maximum trekking altitude of 2,012 m.
Individual activities are optional to attend, so you may sit out an activity. Paragliding in particular depends on wind conditions and can be delayed or cancelled. If skipping an activity or a provider cancellation would affect your booking decision, ask LHO to confirm the applicable substitution or refund treatment in writing before booking.
Who supports the group? An LHO Team Leader coordinates the journey and is present and available for Kathmandu events, including arrival, briefings, team dinners and departure support. Local guides, specialist activity instructors, a local yoga instructor and the on-ground operations team provide the main support on the trail and during activities and transfers. The LHO Team Leader remains available by phone, message or in person where relevant.
Where do we stay, and can I book a single room?
The seven nights comprise two hotel nights in Kathmandu, two in Pokhara, one in Bandipur and two tea-house nights on the trek. The standard price uses shared rooms, with solo travellers normally paired with another traveller of the same sex. Tea-house rooms may be twin, triple or quadruple, and bathroom facilities are commonly shared.
The published £260 single-room upgrade, including taxes, covers all five hotel nights in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Bandipur. It does not cover the two tea-house nights. The upgrade is subject to availability and must be selected or confirmed at booking.
What is included, and what costs extra?
The itinerary includes the listed accommodation, meals from the welcome dinner through breakfast on departure day, drinking water, airport transfers, domestic transport including the Pokhara–Kathmandu flight, guided activities, listed permits and entrance fees, and trip photography. A yoga mat is provided for you to keep, with a personal duffle allowance up to 12 kg and gear-shopping assistance in Kathmandu.
Budget separately for international flights, your Nepal entry visa, personal medical, travel and cancellation insurance, tips, extra nights and individual changes or early departure. Personal clothing, footwear, a daypack, trekking poles and other personal equipment are not listed as included; confirm any rental arrangements before departure.
The trip page suggests approximately USD 200 for personal spending, separate from discretionary tips of around EUR 65 or USD 75 for the local team. These are planning allowances, not fixed charges. Check the current departure prices and booking details for the date you choose.
