Following a live beta in 2026, Life Happens Outdoors will officially launch Ascent on 1 January 2027. The online membership brings training, altitude education, mindset preparation and expert support together around each member’s mountain objective.

Life Happens Outdoors has confirmed that Ascent, its new online adventure preparation membership, will move from beta to official launch on 1 January 2027. The service has been created for people working towards a trek, climb or high altitude adventure who want a clearer path from choosing an objective to preparing for it.

A structured path towards a mountain goal

Ascent currently includes pathways for Kilimanjaro, Everest Base Camp, the Tour du Mont Blanc and Mont Blanc. Members who have not yet chosen an objective can begin with a broader Mountain Preparation pathway.

Members select their objective and starting point before following structured training days and practical modules designed around the demands ahead. The approach recognises that someone preparing from a flat city, returning after time away or already training consistently may need a different starting point.

Physical preparation is one part of the membership. Ascent also provides educational content about altitude and acclimatisation, tools for preparing mentally, a member dashboard, progress tracking, monthly expert sessions and pathway communities. Its altitude and medical content is educational and does not replace individual advice from a qualified clinician.

From beta to official launch

The 2026 beta phase has focused on the joining journey, pathway access, member onboarding, progress tracking, expert sessions and community experience. The official launch will establish Ascent as an ongoing Life Happens Outdoors membership for people preparing for mountain adventures.

Membership is priced at £16.99 per month or £180 per year. Both options provide access to the member’s selected pathway, the dashboard, expert sessions and community. Trips and separately booked professional services are not included in the membership.

Ascent reflects a wider Life Happens Outdoors focus on helping people prepare honestly for the physical, physiological and psychological demands of an ambitious objective. It does not promise readiness or remove uncertainty. Instead, it gives members a clearer structure for the work that happens before departure.

The Ascent beta is live now. The official launch will take place on 1 January 2027. Readers can explore the current Ascent pathways and membership.
