Kearney, the global management consulting firm headquartered in Chicago, USA, will return to Kilimanjaro with Life Happens Outdoors in November 2026 through its Kearney Moves initiative. Open to colleagues from all Kearney offices worldwide, the initiative connects a shared mountain challenge with an ongoing commitment to the community around it.

Through their Kilimanjaro experience with LHO, Kearney’s climbing team adopted a school in the Moshi area. The team is committed to sustained, long term assistance through annual Kilimanjaro climbs, making continued support part of the purpose of returning.

A commitment that continues beyond the climb

For Life Happens Outdoors, corporate social responsibility works when it is sustained and serves a long term objective. The value of an initiative lies in the relationship it maintains and the support it continues to provide over time.

Kearney’s planned return carries that principle forward. The school remains part of the team’s commitment beyond its first expedition, connecting future climbs with an ongoing responsibility to the place that hosts them.

Adventure, growth and community

Kilimanjaro offers participants an opportunity to grow through shared challenge. Patience, trust and mutual support take on practical meaning when colleagues step outside familiar routines and work towards a demanding objective together.

That experience depends on the guides, porters and wider community who make these journeys possible. Supporting a school in the Moshi area extends the relationship with the region beyond the time spent on the mountain.

LHO’s mission is to empower humanity to answer the call to adventure. Initiatives such as Kearney Moves bring that mission together: joiners have an opportunity for personal and team growth, communities receive sustained support, and the LHO community helps make those connections possible.

As Kearney prepares to return in November 2026, the shared objective reaches beyond the expedition itself. It brings the team back to a place where adventure and a continuing community commitment can develop together.
