What is the LHO summit record? To answer that we’ve got to first explain the parameters.

What’s a Summit Record?

A summit record is a misleading marketing tactic employed to entice adventure enthusiasts into selecting a specific outfitter or company. It’s normally put forward as a percentage of joiners who have previously achieved a particular summit through them.

How’s it Recorded?

There is no way to objectively record a summit record. It is a completely unverifiable number. Even on the handful of summits where summit success is recorded through government issued certificates, it is entirely dependent on the company informing the authorities that an individual did or didn’t summit.

How Do I Judge Capability Without a Summit Record?

Just ask questions. It won’t be long before you tell a genuinely good group from one sending generic answers, not forthcoming with information, wishy-washy with responses they’d rather not give and quick to point out their unverifiable “summit record.”

What is LHO’s Summit Record?

At LHO, we believe that a summit record isn’t just about numbers or certificates. It’s about something far more important – our commitment to each individual in our community. We measure our success not by arbitrary statistics, but by our unwavering dedication to pushing boundaries, meeting our members at their level, understanding their unique aspirations, and ensuring an exceptional experience without compromising on safety. Our ultimate goal is to achieve 100% in these aspects, because at LHO, it’s about going beyond records and embracing the true spirit of adventure.
