A letter from Rami Rasamny, Founder of Life Happens Outdoors (LHO)

Dear LHO Community and those of you who haven’t yet said yes to that first adventure,

As Easter rolls in with its quiet message of rebirth and renewal, I find myself reflecting not only on what this season symbolizes but also on how profoundly aligned it is with the journeys we embark on through outdoor adventure travel.

Easter is about transformation. About stepping away from the old and stepping into something new. And I can’t help but see that same spirit reflected in every one of our trips, from the windswept heights of the Alps to the quiet stillness of a desert sunrise. Whether it’s your first overseas travel adventure or your tenth summit, the story is always the same: you leave behind the everyday version of yourself, and you come back different.

That was certainly the case for me. Before Life Happens Outdoors ever existed, I was a burnt out law student, out of shape, smoking too much, drinking too often, living in a haze. My first travel adventure wasn’t glamorous. It was uncomfortable, difficult, and humbling. But it woke something up in me. It offered me a reset, not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, and even spiritually. That journey marked the start of my adventure life travel, and it’s what inspired me to create LHO.

Since then, I’ve watched hundreds of people experience the same shift. We’ve seen those who joined us on solo adventure travel find deep friendships in the mountains. We’ve watched nervous first timers become confident, empowered explorers. We’ve welcomed people from all over the world who have taken a leap with one of our adventure travel tours and discovered just how much more they’re capable of.

This is the heart of what we do and why we do it. We’re not just another adventure travel company selling adventure travel packages. We are a community built on the belief that real change begins the moment you take that first step outside your comfort zone. Whether it’s your first time heading out on overseas adventure travel or you’ve already ticked off a few adventure travel destinations, the transformation never stops.

Adventure awaits travel and Easter reminds us that there’s no better time to say yes to it. To reset. To reconnect. To renew.

So if you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is it.

Step outside. Say yes to the unknown. Let the outdoors show you what you’re made of. Because on the other side of challenge is growth. On the other side of discomfort is joy. On the other side of fear? Freedom. And always, you come back different.

With love and adventure,
Rami Rasamny
