Dr. Nima has worked as an expedition doctor, basecamp manager and expedition leader. His published professional biographies record summits of Everest, Manaslu, Ama Dablam, Denali, Lobuche East and Island Peak, alongside medical and rescue work in the mountains.

His background connects guiding and expedition planning with the medical demands of remote environments.

Teaching and community

Wilderness medicine and outdoor education

Dr. Nima teaches wilderness medicine and first aid for remote and high-altitude environments. The Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee’s 2022/23 annual report records that he provided wilderness first-aid training to seven icefall doctors in Lukla in January 2023.

He is an Executive Board member of Himalayan Trust Nepal, whose work supports communities in the Everest region.

High-altitude exercise physiology

He is currently studying high-altitude exercise physiology at Western Colorado University. This area of study concerns how the body responds and adapts to exercise in environments where oxygen availability is reduced.
