Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN KALYMNOS

Our adventure begins as we arrive at Kalymnos port. We’ll provide you with a detailed guide on the best ways to reach the port which is usually accessed through an easy transfer from the nearby Kos International Airport. The ferry ride to Kalymnos offers stunning views of the Aegean Sea, setting the tone for the experiences to come.
A member of our transfer team will be waiting for you at the dock to take you to our hotel in Masouri, LHO’s base camp for the week. We’ll have the opportunity to do gear checks and rentals and for those of us who have opted to rent scooters, we’ll be making those arrangements as well. After checking in, there will be an optional “Unwind and Align” Hatha Yoga Session – a gentle practice to help participants release travel tension and set intentions for the retreat.
At around 7:30 pm, we’ll head out for a team dinner. This is the first opportunity for us all to meet each other, learn about the week ahead, and ask any questions we may have. There will be a short introduction to “Why Yoga?” to explore how yoga complements climbing and enhances overall well-being. We’ll also set intentions and personal goals for the retreat during this opening activity.

DAY 2: CLIMBING AT THE ODYSSEUS SECTOR

We’ll start the day with our morning routine and an early morning yoga session held just before breakfast to ground ourselves and prepare our bodies for the climbs ahead. The class will be a dynamic vinyasa flow – focusing on core strength and balance, preparing the body for climbing. After breakfast, we’ll hop on our scooters or jump into the car and take a scenic 15-minute ride from Masouri to the Odysseus sector. Nestled in a stunning canyon, this historic sector is inspired by the adventurous spirit of Odysseus himself. It offers over 30 routes with well-bolted climbs, including slabs, vertical walls, and overhangs, catering to both beginners and seasoned climbers eager to improve their skills.
Once at the crag, beginners will begin with a briefing and climbing lesson, while experienced climbers can dive straight into the routes. After an energizing morning session, we’ll gather to debrief, discussing the morning’s climb and re-visit our individual objectives for the week. These goals will be tailored to each climber’s experience level and focus, whether that’s improving technique, building confidence, or tackling new challenges.
After setting our objectives, we’ll break for lunch at a nearby beachside taverna, where we’ll also take a refreshing swim to cool off.
In the afternoon, we’ll continue with a relaxing meditation session on the beach, focusing on the element of water, connecting participants to the surrounding sea and allowing everyone to unwind and reflect. If time permits, we will also hold an interactive “Peak Experiences” workshop. This session will focus on identifying and cultivating peak performance states in both climbing and daily life. Following this serene break, we’ll return to our hotel for some downtime before heading out for dinner at the port. Dinner will include a debrief of the day’s climbs and a briefing on the next day’s adventure.

DAY 3: CLIMBING AT THE KASTELI SECTOR

We’ll start the day at dawn with our morning routine and an energizing practice focusing on upper body strength and flexibility, helping us ground ourselves and energize for the day’s climbs. After breakfast, we’ll gather our gear and head to the Kasteli sector, with its breathtaking views and varied limestone formations that offer routes for all levels. Whether you’re looking to finesse your technique or try something new, Kasteli’s mix of vertical climbs and technical challenges makes it an ideal spot to set and work toward our climbing goals for the week.
After a productive morning of climbing, we’ll head back to Masouri for lunch, giving everyone a chance to explore the town, grab a bite, and relax in the local atmosphere.
In the afternoon, we’ll meet on the hotel’s deck for a restorative yoga session, perfect for stretching out after the day’s activity and unwinding as the sun starts to set. We’ll also learn self-massage techniques for climbers that will be helpful for the upcoming days.
We’ll end the day with a delicious dinner at a traditional taverna in the heart of Masouri, where we’ll debrief the day’s climbs, share stories, and look forward to the next day’s adventures. After dinner, we’ll host a short interactive session on using yoga philosophy to conquer climbing fears and build mental resilience.

DAY 4: EXPLORING TELENDOS ISLAND

We’ll start the day with our morning routine and rejuvenating yoga session to awaken our bodies and minds.  This session will incorporate balancing poses inspired by the surrounding sea and cliffs and include a short guided visualization preparing climbers for the day’s challenges.
After breakfast, we’ll head down to the port to catch the ferry to Telendos Island, where we’ll make our way to the Irox crag. Nestled right by the sea, Irox offers an idyllic setting with stunning ocean views and a range of routes for all climbing levels. From beginner-friendly slabs to challenging overhangs and tufa-strewn walls, the diversity at Irox ensures everyone can find routes that suit their skill level and push their boundaries.
After a fulfilling morning of climbing, we’ll return to Telendos town, a charming village with beautiful beaches facing both east and west, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the island’s unique atmosphere. Lunch will be a leisurely affair, allowing everyone to explore the local eateries or enjoy a picnic by the beach. You can swim, relax, and soak up the serene environment before making your way back to Masouri at your own pace on one of the regularly departing ferries.
Back in Masouri, we’ll gather for dinner at a local taverna, where we’ll recap the day’s highlights and look forward to the climbs ahead.

DAY 5: DEEP WATER SOLOING IN VATHI

We’ll begin our final day with our morning routine and a power vinyasa flow practice focusing on fluidity of movement and core strength, ideal for deep water soloing. After breakfast, our plans will depend on the day’s conditions: if weather and tides allow, we’ll head to Vathi for an exciting session of deep water soloing. Deep water soloing involves climbing routes directly above the water without ropes—just the freedom of movement and the safety of the sea below. It’s an exhilarating way to climb, offering a unique mix of adventure and challenge with the refreshing option to jump into the water whenever needed.
If conditions aren’t suitable for deep water soloing, we’ll head to the Summertime crag, located above a beach, for our last day of roped climbing. This beautiful crag offers routes with ocean views and the relaxed feel of climbing near the shore, making it the perfect way to wrap up our climbing adventures.
In the afternoon, we’ll unwind on the beach, taking time to relax, swim, or simply enjoy the surroundings. There will be an optional gentle yoga practice reflecting on the week’s growth.
As the sun sets on our adventure, we’ll gather for a powerful closing ceremony and engage in a guided group visualization, “Climbing Your Mountain of Dreams.” This immersive experience will weave the week’s triumphs, challenges, and insights into a personal vision for each participant’s future. By connecting our climbing journey to life’s broader aspirations, we’ll create a vivid mental map to carry forward. This final ritual will not only celebrate our shared experiences but also empower each person with a tangible sense of growth and purpose to take back into their everyday lives.
Later, we’ll head to the main town of Pothia for a farewell dinner. We’ll arrive early so everyone can explore Pothia’s charming streets, vibrant shops, and historic sites before gathering at a local restaurant to celebrate the week’s achievements and share memories from our time together.

DAY 6: FAREWELL AND DEPARTURE

Our final day together is dedicated to port transfers. Breakfast is included on this day. Please ensure that you provide us with the correct ferry times in advance of the trip so that the team can arrange your pick-up according to your departure time.
