Itinerary

Whether it’s taking off by paraglide, taking off into a yoga pose, or taking off your clothes and jumping in the river, this is an experience of pure magic for anyone of any background who is seeking to get away from the routine of city life and live an adventure of a life time.

DAY 1: ARRIVING TO KATHMANDU

Day 1 is arrival day. We’ll be picking you up from the airport and checking you in to the Kathmandu Guest House. Kathmandu airport can be a bit of an experience unto itself. Once you’ve navigated your way out, you’ll be met by your LHO team leader. Depending on what time you arrive you’ll benefit from a tour of Kathmandu which includes Durbar Square, Boudanath Stupa and Thamel, in addition to an evening meditation class. At 8:00 PM we’ll have a team dinner and briefing before heading back to the hotel for gear checks and last-minute preparations.

DAY 2: WHITE WATER RAFTING & BANDIPUR

We’ll start our day at 5:00 AM with an early yoga session before catching our bus ride to the Trishuli river for some white water rafting. Upon arrival, we’ll receive a full briefing followed by a two-hour session up the river in the direction of Bandipur. After our session, we’ll grab some lunch before continuing our road trip to Bandipur. We expect to arrive at around 6:00 PM to our hotel.

DAY 3: TREKKING FROM POKHARA TO GHANDRUK

We’ll start our day at 6:00 AM with an early yoga session before catching our bus ride in the direction of Pokhara. Upon arrival to Pokhara we’ll be met by our porter team who will escort us to the Pokhara Batika Hotel for last minute checks and to drop off anything not needed for the trekking portion of our time together. From there, it’s a three-hour drive to Syauli Bazaar, where we’ll have lunch before starting our trekking experience. An hour into the trail, we’ll veer off the main path and start up the steeper trail to Ghandruk. We typically arrive around 6:00 PM which means we may walk for about an hour in darkness so do have your headlamps handy. Dinner will be at the tea house accommodation on arrival.

DAY 4: TREKKING FROM GHANDRUK TO TOLKA

Our day will start with a yoga and meditation session against the backdrop of one of the most spectacular views in the Himalayas. After the session, we’ll have breakfast and head out for our second day on the trail that’ll take us to Tolka. The trail goes down to the Modikhola valley where we’ll cross a suspension bridge above the river before making our way up to Landruk where we’ll have lunch. After that we’ll continue in the direction of Tolka where dinner awaits at our accommodation when we arrive.

DAY 5: TOLKA TO THE AUSTRALIAN CAMP

Our last trekking day will take us up to the Australian Camp, a spectacular viewpoint that brings us right up to the Fishtail mountain and the Annapurna range, where we’ll have our team lunch. From the viewpoint, we’ll be making our way back down to the valley where we’ll be met by our transport to take us to our hotel in Pokhara for our well-deserved massage. On the way down, depending on the time, it might be possible to pass by the Tibetan Refugee Camp. The afternoon will be free for us to explore the town and recover from the trek.

DAY 6: ADRENALINE MEETS RELAXATION

The day will start with a yoga session followed by breakfast. We intend to depart the hotel at 10:00 AM in the direction of Sarangkot, the take off zone for our paragliding session. After a briefing by our flight instructors, we’ll start up and take off over the Annapurna range. Flight times vary depending on conditions. We’ll land near the town of Pokhara where we’ll be met by our transport and shuttled to the exit point of the zipline! At sunset, we’ll head to Lake Phewa and jump on a boat that’ll take us across the lake to the foot of the World Peace Pagoda. From there, it’s an optional one-hour trek to the monument that sits above Pokhara. Dinner will be at a Pokhara restaurant.

DAY 7: BACK TO KATHMANDU

After having our breakfast at the hotel we’ll be catching our morning flight back to Kathmandu. You’ll have time for some shopping in Kathmandu and we’ll be hosting a farewell dinner in town later in the evening.

DAY 8: NAMASTE

The last day is dedicated to airport shuttles. Breakfast at the hotel is included. For those of us who missed out on the city tour on arrival day an alternative tour can be arranged. Please make sure to provide us with your arrival and departure details before the first day of the trip.
